Great Blue Heron

Every spring, a Great Blue Heron comes most afternoons and stalks the meadow hunting for gophers, moles and voles.  Have witnessed them stabbing their beak into the ground, pulling out a gopher, throwing it up into the air and catching it, swallowing it whole.  If I ever get the video I'll share here.
